Ryan Christopher Baker"The only limit to our realizations of tomorrow will be our doubts of today." - Franklin D. Roosevelt Ryan Baker was born in Couer d'Alene, ID, on January 11, 1978, and moved to Boise before he was a year old. He graduated from Boise High School and is currently a computer science major. He plays alto saxophone in the Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band, the basketball pep bands, and the All-Campus Concert Band. After high school, Ryan spent a couple of years at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he became a member of the Eta class of the Iota Pi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. During his years at Cal Poly he served as saxophone section leader, equipment manager, assistant drum major, and web page manager of the Cal Poly Mustang Marching Band. He served as Iota Pi vice president, correspondence secretary, and chapter web page manager. Ryan also had the privilege of serving as bid committee head for both the Accent and Western District Convention, and as a member of the Western District Convention 2000 host chapter. Ryan is currently the colony president and web page manager, and the 2002-2003 Blue Thunder secretary. Ryan works in the tech support department of Velocitus Internet and spends his days futilely explaining to people why their brand new computers aren't working. The job allows him to fund not only school but a fairly out-of-control furniture fixation. He spends his spare time playing with graphics and web pages, redecorating, and singing along with the radio. While his favorite color is blue and hence prefers blue underwear, he is a big fan of color coordination. Contrary to popular opinion, he prefers his underwear unfrozen. |
